On 17th. September the 1st XV travelled north to play Shipston-on-Stour, for the first time ever we think.
What a difference a week makes. Buoyed by their excellent start to the season and the partisan support of the Castle Road faithful, Salisbury had every reason to be looking to push onward and upward. Unfortunately, Witney, old adversaries and a team well established at Level 6, had other ideas.
The 1st XV travelled to Swanage and Wareham RFCs ground to face their old rivals Wimborne RFC in the Dorset & Wilts 1st XV Senior cup final on a warm and sunny afternoon.
Salisbury A XV travelled to Bath for their final match of the season against Combe Down 2nd XV.
This was the result Salisbury were hoping for but not the contest that the players nor spectators wished it to be. Both sides were shorn of players through injury and Salisbury were fielding the versatile back row forwards, George Fossey and Will Murley, in the centre.
