Have you noticed the new flag ?

One of the legacies from last year's celebrations is a new flag pole and a SRFC flag fluttering in the breeze.

Our recent Centenary celebrations culminated in a grand dinner that included Nigel Owens as our guest speaker. But it also allowed us to donate more than £6,500 to the RFU's Injured Players' Foundation (IPF). 

The aim of our celebration events wasn't to make money but bring different sections of the Club together. But the success of all our events has meant that even after beating the target amount we set to pay to the RFU IPF, some money was left over.

We are going to use that to support our Archiving project which will put many of our historical artefacts back on display, plus a new flag pole.

Don't tell me you haven't noticed it ! Positioned at the back of the Clubhouse on the new changing rooms, it carries an elegant new SRFC flag that ironically needs bad weather to display itself.

So next time you are at Castle Road, clock the new flag and accept our thanks for everything you do to keep our tremendous Club running.
