SRFC 12 : Winchester 22

Salisbury's Womens team kicked-off their season with two 7 a-side matches against Winchester.

With a successful recruiting effort over the summer, the whole group were excited by the prospect of their first XV a-side fixture, however our scheduled opponents had to cry off, so it was left to a late re-jig to play some 7s against a combined group of players from Winchester/Fleet and Aldershot.

It was the first ever game for many of the home team, so to hold their own and score 2 tries, one a wonderful effort demonstrating all they have learned about passing and support play, was a very good effort.

The referee commented how impressed he was by both sides and their standard of play and sportsmanship. Salisbury's scorers were Flo Dohollo and Chloe Moss, with a conversion from Tess Fitz
