D&W U16 League: Frome 7 Salisbury 36

A really positive first fixture for the Colts 23/24 away against a strong and determined Frome Colts side.
The game was split down into 4 quarters to allow for squad rotation and drinks breaks. It was a hot affair but the game was still played at a ferocious pace. Frome proved a competent and capable outfit but a high error count cost them territory and possession.
The senior colts led the way and set the standard for the remainder to follow. Well done to Sam George as captain and Oden Knight as vice captain in leading them to a 36-7 victory.
A huge positive today. We are trying to gel together 3 groups - those who are in the second year of colts, those in their first year and our new club joiners. The evidence today suggests that this is happening quickly and it did not look like a team on its first match of the season- some symbiotic play was on display. A really good first run out for the Colts especially in the heat against a competent and capable opposition
