Colts & U16s enjoy Ready4Rugby tournament
The Colts and U16s held a Ready4Rugby Tournament on Sunday 25 April which was a resounding success.
Their first competitive game play for months. See more pictures by clicking through.
The two squads have begun training together on Thursday evenings in order to pave the way for a successful season commencing in September 2021.
And the Tournament was the perfect opportunity for players, coaches and parents to get to know each other.
Congratulations to the U16s Purple team who won the event. But credit should go to all the players for turning out on a sunny afternoon to make it the first rugby event at the Club since before Christmas. Neil the Chef said it was a pleasure to prepare burgers for players; a rugby tea of sorts, the first for a very long time. So thanks to Neil the Chef, Vinnie Clubhouse Manager and Director of Rugby, Russell Jugg for supporting our event.
Thank you to both sets of Coaches who refereed the games and made sure the tournament ran smoothly. And thanks too to Tristan Donaldson, our very own Colts playing referee. He did a great job. And to all the parents for supporting the event, thankfully in lovely sunshine.
And a big thank you to Julia Doig, Colts Admin, for making it all happen.
