U15 v Trojans
Salisbury were only able to field a bare 15 for the return fixture against Trojans and there were many players in positions that they have little experience of. This probably accounted for Trojans scoring a try under the posts in the first 10 minutes. After that, Salisbury settled into playing a well structured game with pods of forwards setting up where they were needed and the ball being released to the backs to create width. The first half finished 7-0. In the second half, there was more of the same from Salisbury with some great defensive efforts and never giving up on the chase. This was eventually rewarded with Will Thompson scoring a try wide out on the right and a few minutes later, Adam Lucas scoring wide out on the left. Fitness of the squad clearly played a big part in the final result as it was clear that Trojans could not cope with the lack of time and space they were faced with as the green and white line continuously pushed up on their half backs.
