Trafalgar Way cycle ride
15th. July 2017 - A group of members and friends of the club set off for a bike ride to raise funds for Project All Change
Jim Bellinger, a distinguished former SRFC player, organises a marathon bike ride from Falmouth to London called the "Trafalgar Way". This year he added a circular ride beginning and ending in Salisbury. Around 40 members and friends of the club entered and used the ride to raise funds for Project All Change.
There was a choice of two routes, one of around 60 and one of around 90 miles, and both routes took in plenty of challenging terrain. Most riders opted for the shorter route but a few brave souls went for the long one. It looked like being a good day for riding, fairly cool with a little very light drizzle at the start and light winds. Of course it may have felt very different to the riders after several hours in the saddle.
I was at the start to see the riders off and catch a few snaps.
