2nd XV v North Dorset (home)

4th. March 2017 - Salisbury United 46 : North Dorset 14

There was an end of season feel to Salisbury United’s League match against North Dorset, with the home side dominating a fast moving game to win 46:14. A comfortable half-time lead was achieved through tries from Matt Battenbough (2), Mike Dauwalder (2) and Jack Tibbitts, but it belied a number of other missed opportunities from the many breaks punched by the home side’s forwards. The second half was a more controlled affair, with North Dorset offering much sterner defence, but further tries from Chris Miller, Dauwalder completing his hat-trick after showing a fine turn of pace and Richard Knight, who also added 3 conversions.
