Under 15s looking forward to the business end of the season
Currently sitting at the top of the league in the Dorset and Wilts Competitions, the U15s is a successful and thriving squad.
We take a great deal of pride in the diversity of experience within the squad; having a core that started playing rugby at SRFC when they were 5, now playing alongside team mates who came to the game only in the last year.
With players from 12 different schools in the squad, we are testimony to the Club's ethos to welcome everyone.
Success can be measured in many ways; number of wins, number of players given opportunities, development of individuals and development of the team.
We believe that the U15s squad is successful in all of these departments and welcome new players who would wish to join this group.
Playing matches (friendly or in competitions) is an important element of individual and team development. We actively seek matches against opposition within a wide radius; teams that can challenge the squad. So far this 2016-2017 season we have won 83% of our matches, scored 85 tries and amassed 526 points.
On the individual front, we have six players who have represented Dorset & Wilts at County level, all of whom are also part of the Bath RFC Academy EPDG.
All in all the season has already been a great success, but we now we are turning our attention to the knockout phase of the Dorset and Wilts Cup, and continuing Salisbury Rugby's great successes at Junior level.
