A great team performance on Sunday from the U14s, playing away and winning their 1st match of the next round in the Dorset & Wilts Cup against North Dorset. Dylan Antunovic-Fry's running and ball retention was outstanding for the second Sunday in a row. Our front row worked as a really effective unit in the set piece and carrying / defence around the park. Overall there was a level of intensity we have not seen for a whole game before. The Coaches believe that came from high levels of concentration and high tempo energy from the whole team throughout the game. A fantastic result for the team.
Salisbury 32-5 North Dorset
SRFC U15s won their 5th D&W Cup match of the season on Sunday to secure a Semi-Final place.
Bournemouth Colts 26 - 34 Salisbury Colts
Salisbury Colts played Bournemouth Colts at Chapel Gate on an overcast but dry Sunday afternoon. Bournemouth kicked off but you could tell in the first few minutes of the game that both sides were rusty. Neither side could maintain possession and create any sustained pressure. After the initial frantic start the game settled down and the phases of play began to be strung together.
Salisbury 20-12 Andover
Tries - Adam Lucas (2), Ben Lerpiniere-Symes, Carlos Kanolager
On Sunday Trowbridge visited Hudson’s Field (and the delights of the Prairie) for the U15’s first game after the Christmas Break. It was Round 4 of the D&W Cup. Both sides had recorded heavy wins over Devizes and North Dorset, and Salisbury had won 12-0 at Trowbridge in what was probably our best team performance of the season so far. So, the stage was set for a hard physical encounter.
